Hi, I’m Tabi!

Choose Eunhaesa or Imgo Seowon to explore historic places in Yeongcheon. The temple and academy are in different locations, so plan transport and access separately.

This guide covers places within Yeongcheon, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Eunhaesa Temple

銀海寺

This temple is at the foot of Palgongsan. The photograph shows the exterior of Geungnakbojeon in 2022, not its interior statues. Respect worship and access notices, and check separate arrangements for mountain hermitages.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Imgo Seowon

臨皐書院

This Confucian academy commemorates Jeong Mong-ju. Check which gardens and buildings are open to visitors; restored spaces should not all be assumed to survive unchanged from the past.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Official tourism information introduces gomtang at Yeongcheon’s market and local beef dishes. These are distinct from temple cuisine. Ask about cuts of meat, broth, seasonings and current menus.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Tabi suggests a short look around open visitor areas at the first stop, followed by a break. Check transport and access separately for the other destination.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
