Hi, I’m Tabi!

Begin in Pyeongchang with temples in the Odaesan area. Woljeongsa and Sangwonsa are separate destinations, rather than stops on a short urban stroll.

This guide covers places within Pyeongchang, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

Woljeongsa octagonal nine-storey stone pagoda, 200701

A first-visit stop

Woljeongsa and Fir Forest

月精寺とモミの森

Visit the temple and fir-tree paths in the Odaesan area. The photograph shows the octagonal nine-storey stone pagoda in 2007. Check current visitor routes and forest-path access, and respect worship in progress.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Sangwonsa Temple

上院寺

This is another temple farther into Odaesan. Plan transport by road or a properly prepared mountain-path itinerary separately from Woljeongsa. Check weather, restrictions and return transport before setting out.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Official tourism information introduces buckwheat noodles in Bongpyeong-myeon and trout dishes in Pyeongchang. These are not necessarily beside the temples. Check buckwheat, wheat and fish allergens and current menus.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Tabi suggests a short look around open paths at the first stop, followed by a break. Check transport and access separately for the other destination.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
