Hi, I’m Tabi!

Meet wooded temple grounds and a quiet royal tomb in Seongbuk. Choose suitable shoes for the hills, check return transport and take the visits one at a time.

This guide covers places within Seongbuk District, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Gilsangsa Temple

吉祥寺

Look for woodland and small halls at this hillside temple in Seongbuk-dong. The 2022 image shows a corner of the grounds, not a main-hall panorama. Respect religious practice and access signs, and take care on steps and slopes.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Jeongneung Royal Tomb

貞陵

Visit Queen Sindeok’s tomb from the designated visitor route. This is different from Jeongneung in Gangnam’s Seonjeongneung complex. Check opening days and the accessible sections of the tomb and woodland, and stay out of protected areas.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

VisitKorea features Seongbuk-dong’s noodle streets near Hansung University Station. Offerings such as anchovy noodles and knife-cut noodles vary by restaurant. Check current menus, opening details and allergens in wheat, buckwheat and broth.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Start on the first site’s open visitor paths, and check transfers and return transport separately.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
