Hi, I’m Tabi!

Nowon-gu offers railway history, neighborhood streets and greenery in northeastern Seoul. Distinguish the former railway station from the metro stop and begin with one part of Gongneung-dong.

This guide covers places within Nowon-gu, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Hwarangdae Railroad Park

화랑대철도공원

A park around the former Hwarangdae railway station with railway displays. The photo shows the old station from the tracks in 2018, distinct from today’s metro station. The light garden and indoor cultural facilities have separate arrangements affected by weather.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Gongneung-dong Gyeongchun Line Forest Trail

공릉동 경춘선숲길

A neighborhood walking space reusing former railway tracks. Choose a public section in Gongneung-dong and respect residential streets and pedestrians. Check access to your chosen section rather than assuming a walk along the entire trail or to Hwarangdae.

Getting there

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Seoul’s guide introduces anchovy-broth noodles in Gongneung-dong’s noodle street. Broth, wheat noodles and toppings vary by shop. Check fish, wheat and egg allergies; past article prices, shop counts and ratings are not guarantees of current conditions.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
