Hi, I’m Tabi!

Meet two sides of Gokseong: a former railway station and a wooded temple valley. Check operations and weather, and plan the rail attractions and forest visit separately.

This guide covers places within Gokseong County, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Seomjingang Train Village

蟾津江汽車村

Explore the railway-themed grounds around the old Gokseong station. The 2006 photograph shows the former station building, not today’s train service. Check sightseeing-train and rail-bike operations and fares separately, and never enter tracks without permission.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

Dorimsa temple grounds in Gokseong in 201302

A first-visit stop

Dorimsa Temple

道林寺

Visit the temple beside the valley below Dongaksan. The photograph dates from 2013. Wet rocks can be slippery: keep to designated paths and avoid the water during rain or closures. Arrange a separate transfer from the train village.

Getting there

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

The county highlights chamgetang, a freshwater-crab soup cooked with vegetables. Ingredients and heat vary by restaurant. Avoid it if you have a crustacean allergy, and check current opening details and prices.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Start on the first site’s open visitor paths, then check transport separately for your next stop.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
