Hi, I’m Tabi!

Discover Namwon through the garden at Gwanghalluwon and Namwon Public Market. Check garden visiting arrangements and individual shop opening times.

This guide covers places within Namwon, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

Pond, island and bridge in Gwanghalluwon Garden in September 201201

A first-visit stop

Gwanghalluwon Garden

広寒楼苑

This garden combines ponds, pavilions and bridges and is associated with the Chunhyang story. The September 2012 photograph shows part of the pond, island and bridge, rather than the whole pavilion. Keep to visitor paths and take care beside the water and heritage structures.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Namwon Public Market

南原公設市場

This traditional market is on Uichong-ro. Permanent shops and periodic market days can differ, so check the date and individual businesses. An illustration is used because a photograph meeting subject and reuse requirements was not verified.

Getting there

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Korea Tourism Organization lists chueotang and sundae soup among foods around Namwon Public Market. Menus and ingredients vary by shop, so ask about broth, fish, meat and current availability.
