Hi, I’m Tabi!

Begin in Shirakawa Village’s Ogimachi farmhouse district. This is distinct from Shirakawa Town or Shirakawa City in Fukushima. Follow public paths and visitor areas in this residential village.

This guide covers places within Shirakawa Village, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Three places to begin

Three places with different atmospheres. Start with the one that appeals to you instead of visiting them all.

What could you try?

The tourism association features Hida beef dishes, including preparations with hoba miso. Check menu descriptions, ingredients and availability rather than assuming all beef served is Hida beef.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the bus terminal → Wada House area → marked Ogimachi streets. Check return buses and reservation requirements first. Keep out of private gardens and avoid fire near thatch; check bridge access and separate entry rules for Minkaen.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check current entry rules, opening information and return transport.
  • Choose an outing suited to steps, slopes and weather.
  • Respect worship spaces and photography rules; check food ingredients at the shop.
