Hi, I’m Tabi!

Minokamo in Gifu combines Nakasendo post-town history with fruit-growing culture. Distinguish it from Mino City and begin at one stop in the Ota area.

This guide covers places within Minokamo, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

A first-visit stop

Ota-juku Nakasendo Museum

太田宿中山道会館

Exhibitions introduce the former Ota-juku post town and travel on the Nakasendo. Check current displays, admission and closures; the pictured museum is not the original honjin lodging.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Former Ota Wakihonjin Hayashi Residence

旧太田脇本陣林家住宅

A historic residence that served travelers in the former post town. Explore traditional architecture such as udatsu roof walls, checking current permitted areas, entry and photography guidance.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

The tourism association introduces Dojo Hachiya-gaki, traditionally dried persimmons, as a city specialty. Distinguish them from fresh fruit and check origins, processing, storage and ingredients. Harvest, sale periods and stock may vary.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
