Hi, I’m Tabi!

Tenei is a Fukushima village with Lake Hatori’s highland scenery and agricultural specialties. Its areas require separate travel; arrange one destination’s access first.

This guide covers places within Tenei, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Lake Hatori

羽鳥湖

An artificial lake created for irrigation and power generation. View the lake and highlands from public viewpoints. Check water levels, weather and current road, cycle-path and camping arrangements; do not enter waterside or controlled areas without permission.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Roadside Station Hatoriko Kogen

道の駅羽鳥湖高原

A roadside station for local information and specialties before exploring the highlands. Check shops, food facilities and return transport; it does not imply an easy walk around the whole lake.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Official materials introduce Tenei rice, long green onions and yacon as village specialties. Green onions are vegetables; check ingredients in dishes and processed products. Availability, origins and preparation vary by product, with no health-effect or shop guarantee.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
