Isasumi Shrine
伊佐須美神社
A shrine reflecting Aizu’s religious and festival traditions. The building photographed in April 2023 is its gate, not the main sanctuary. Follow current construction, access and photography instructions.

Mountain-castle remains associated with Ashina Moriuji. The February 2008 photograph is a distant view of the hills, not a current trail or a surviving castle tower. Ask the Hongo information centre about open sections and plan for slopes and weather.

Look for pickled products made with local Takada ume. The town’s guide describes crisp pickles and a sweetened preparation. Distinguish the fresh-fruit season from processed-product availability and check ingredients and stock.
