Hi, I’m Tabi!
Check the day’s nature information at the visitor centre before exploring Urabandai’s ponds. Goshikinuma has time restrictions related to bear activity; it is not an unrestricted all-day walk.
This guide covers places within Kitashiobara, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

The photograph records autumn leaves at Bishamon Pond in November 2019. Current guidance limits the section between Bishamon and Benten pond viewpoints to 09:00–16:00. Follow any newer restrictions on your visit; stay on paths and do not collect plants or wildlife.

Look for Aizu yamajio, a local salt made by boiling down hot-spring water. The tourism association introduces the salt and products using it. Ask shops about current menus and stock; no health benefit is implied.
Check current restrictions at the centre and walk only during permitted times and on open sections. Avoid going alone in bear habitat and follow village guidance. Do not assume a full traverse or a dawn or dusk walk is allowed.
