Hi, I’m Tabi!

Start with local information at Madeikan, then plan a separate visit to Ainosawa woodland. Check facility opening and access guidance before setting out.

This guide covers places within Iitate, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Madeikan roadside station

いいたて村の道の駅までい館

A village stop with a farm shop and places to rest. The September 2017 photograph shows its early exterior, not today’s events or stock. Read the current opening notices before visiting.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Ainosawa village forest

村民の森あいの沢

Woodland around a pond with paths and camping facilities. Treat the road transfer as separate from your walk and use currently open paths. Enquire separately about camping or overnight stays.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Browse Madeikan’s farm shop for seasonal local produce. The village also describes renewed production of Iitate-raised Japanese Black cattle, but meat and dishes are not guaranteed to be available. Ask about the day’s products and menu.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Check information at Madeikan, transfer separately to Ainosawa, and walk on open paths. Follow village notices and do not enter restricted areas or closed roads.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
