Hi, I’m Tabi!

Hayakawa is a mountain town in Yamanashi with pilgrimage history and forests. Start in the Akasawa district after arranging return transport across this extensive mountain area.

This guide covers places within Hayakawa, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

Stone path and traditional buildings in Akasawa01

A first-visit stop

Akasawa Post Town

赤沢宿

A settlement that developed as a post town on the pilgrimage route between Minobusan and Shichimensan. View traditional buildings and stone paths from permitted roads, taking care on slopes and wet stones. Respect private homes.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Narada Hachimangu Shrine Grove

奈良田八幡宮の社叢

A shrine grove designated a natural monument by the town. Respect worship and woodland conservation, and check permitted access. Plan transport separately from Akasawa.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

The town’s food guide introduces handmade soba and seasonal mountain ingredients such as wild vegetables and mushrooms. Confirm dishes, booking and operating arrangements, and check buckwheat allergies. This is not a suggestion to forage and eat wild plants.
