Hi, I’m Tabi!

This guide covers Yamanashi City rather than the entire prefecture. Begin at the fruit park or Manriki’s woodland, preparing a separate hiking itinerary for Nishizawa Gorge.

This guide covers places within Yamanashi, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Three places to begin

Three places with different atmospheres. Start with the one that appeals to you instead of visiting them all.

A first-visit stop

Fuefukigawa Fruit Park

笛吹川フルーツ公園

A hillside park themed around fruit, with views toward the Kofu Basin. The photo shows persimmons and the park in autumn 2005. Check activities and do not pick fruit without authorization.

Getting there
Check transport toward the park from JR Yamanashishi station

Woodland stream in Manriki Park in 201002

A first-visit stop

Manriki Park

万力公園

A park near the river with woodland and small streams. It is separate from the fruit park; choose it for a woodland pause and stay on marked paths rather than entering the stream.

Getting there
Check the park location and route from JR Yamanashishi station

03

A first-visit stop

Nishizawa Gorge

西沢渓谷

A mountain gorge with waterfalls and rock formations. It requires hiking preparation, unlike a level town stroll. Trails normally close in winter; check current access and weather before travel.

Getting there
Check buses toward Nishizawa Keikoku Iriguchi and your return service

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Hoto is a noodle dish featured in the local official guide. Ingredients and portions differ by shop, so check the menu. For local fruit, check the season and availability.
