Hi, I’m Tabi!

Discover Hijiori’s hot-spring streets and the Shikamura rice terraces. Check transport and road conditions for these separate stops. Village guidance lists a construction closure on Route 458 between Hijiori and Sagae.

This guide covers places within Okura, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

A first-visit stop

Shikamura rice terraces

四ヶ村の棚田

Rice terraces associated with the four settlements of Toyomaki, Takinosawa, Numanodai and Hirabayashi. These are working fields: stay out of the paddies and use permitted viewing places. Their appearance changes by season.

Getting there

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Okura lists tomatoes and handmade soba among its local foods. Ask restaurants about current availability and ingredients such as buckwheat and wheat.
