Hi, I’m Tabi!

Yonago, in western Tottori, brings together castle stone walls and the shore of Lake Nakaumi. Choose an uphill visit or a waterside pause to begin.

This guide covers places within Yonago, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

Stone walls and keep foundation at Yonago Castle ruins01

A first-visit stop

Yonago Castle Ruins

米子城跡

Stone walls and keep foundations remain on Minatoyama. This is a ruin, rather than a castle with a surviving keep building. Check slopes, steps and weather, and use designated paths for views.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

Cycads in Minatoyama Park02

A first-visit stop

Minatoyama Park

湊山公園

Pause among greenery and paths beside Lake Nakaumi. The waterside park offers a different setting from the uphill castle ruins. Cherry blossoms and sunset views depend on season and weather.

Getting there
Check the Dandan bus to Minatoyama Park stop from JR Yonago Station.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

The city introduces gyukotsu ramen made with beef-bone stock. Broths and toppings vary, so check ingredients, allergies and opening arrangements directly. No particular restaurant or current menu is endorsed.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access. Choose your departure point on the map.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
