Koishikawa Korakuen
小石川後楽園
A historic daimyo garden of ponds and greenery in central Tokyo. The photograph is a 2008 view from Bunkyo Civic Center and does not establish current observatory access. This is distinct from Okayama Korakuen.

Visit a red shrine hall and grounds with an older Tokyo atmosphere. The photograph shows the hall in 2010. Azaleas are a spring attraction; respect worship routes and photography rules.

Another historic garden, in Honkomagome, with scenery around a pond. It is separate from Koishikawa Korakuen; check rail connections. Flowers, foliage and special evening visits depend on seasons and events.

The ward lists literary-themed confections connected with writers such as Mori Ogai and Natsume Soseki. Browse them as small gifts after a literary outing, checking ingredients and current availability.
Choose Koishikawa Korakuen or Nezu Shrine first, checking admission, currently open areas and return transport. Plan separated places as different outings.
