Hi, I’m Tabi!
Tokyo’s Arakawa Ward offers neighborhood streets, a tram line and fabric culture. Choose Minowabashi or Nippori Fabric Town first; the entire river sharing its name is not a ward walking route.
This guide covers places within Arakawa Ward, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Three places to begin
Three places with different atmospheres. Start with the one that appeals to you instead of visiting them all.

A first-visit stop
Minowabashi Tram Stop
三ノ輪橋停留場
A stop on the Toden Arakawa tram line with a nostalgic entrance. The photograph dates from 2014. Follow boarding-area access and photography rules when considering a tram ride.
Getting there Distinguish the Minowabashi tram stop from Minowa subway station
A ward-run amusement park with rides and animal areas, reopened after renovation in 2022. Historic images do not show its present facilities. Check current entry and individual ride conditions.
Getting there Check the Arakawa-Yuenchi-mae tram stop
A street of fabric and sewing-supply shops. Opening days and sales practices vary by shop; browse for a material you need and plan this separately from the tram terminus and amusement park.
Getting there Check the Fabric Town route east of Nippori station
The ward’s official tram guide features Arakawa monja shops. Consider monjayaki as a meal option, checking ingredients and cooking arrangements at the shop without assuming current menus or rankings.
Try Minowabashi tram stop → nearby public paths, checking current service for a ride to another area. Amusement-park entry and Nippori shopping are separate options.
