Hi, I’m Tabi!
Discover neighborhood parks, a temple and an old residence in Tokyo’s Setagaya Ward. Start with Hanegi Park or Gotokuji rather than trying to cover the entire ward.
This guide covers places within Setagaya Ward, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Three places with different atmospheres. Start with the one that appeals to you instead of visiting them all.

A first-visit stop
Gotokuji Temple
豪徳寺
A temple associated with the Ii family, with temple buildings and beckoning-cat figures. It remains a place of worship; explore quietly and follow photography guidance.
Getting there Check the approach to Gotokuji on the map
A neighborhood park with trees, a plum grove and walking spaces. Plum blossoms are seasonal; outside flowering season, enjoy the greenery and a quiet pause.
Getting there Approach from Umegaoka or Higashi-Matsubara station
A surviving residence of an Edo-period local administrator. Discover Setagaya’s history through the old house, checking the scheduled room-viewing periods before visiting.
Getting there Approach from Kamimachi station on the Tokyu Setagaya Line
Daikan mochi is associated with the winter Boroichi market. It is not a promise of everyday availability. Check event and selling information and follow guidance on eating and taking rubbish home.
Try Umegaoka station → Hanegi Park for a relaxed first walk. Plan Gotokuji and the residence separately after checking approaches and visiting guidance.
