Hi, I’m Tabi!
Nishitokyo offers a science center, shrine and ancient remains among western Tokyo’s residential neighborhoods. Choose Tanashi or the science center first and visit Shitanoya as a separate station-area outing.
This guide covers places within Nishitokyo, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Tamarokuto Science Center
多摩六都科学館
A science center with hands-on exhibits and a planetarium. Check separate entry arrangements for exhibits and screenings. The 2013 photograph includes the center and adjacent Sky Tower Nishitokyo; this guide does not offer public observation access to the tower.
Getting there Check buses from Tanashi or Hana-Koganei station
A shrine near Tanashi station with worship spaces and trees. Visit quietly during a neighborhood walk. The photo shows a shrine building in 2009; respect current worship and photography guidance.
Getting there Approach from Tanashi station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line
A park interpreting Jomon-period remains. Reconstructed pit dwellings illustrate past life; they are not ancient houses preserved intact. Check interior opening days separately from park access.
Getting there Check access from Higashi-Fushimi station
The city’s farm-sales guide lists locally grown vegetables such as cabbage. This is an introduction to local agriculture rather than a claim about a uniquely local dish. Availability depends on season, harvest and sales days.
