Hi, I’m Tabi!
Nakano combines neighborhood shops, parks and a temple in western Tokyo. Start near Nakano station and Shikinomori Park, planning the philosophical park and temple separately.
This guide covers places within Nakano Ward, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Nakano Shikinomori Park
中野四季の森公園
A park northwest of Nakano station with trees and open space. The photo dates from 2013; current facilities and event layouts may differ. Combine a neighborhood outing with a park break.
Getting there Approach from the north side of Nakano station
A park expressing philosophical ideas through buildings and spaces. The photo shows Rokkendai in 2006, a philosophical park structure rather than a temple pagoda. Check slopes, steps and building access.
Getting there Check the route from the Araiyakushi-mae station area
A local temple also known as Baishoin. Explore quietly and follow worship and photography guidance. Check its approach separately from the shopping area near Nakano station.

Official guidance highlights everyday meals such as ramen and sushi in the alleys around Nakano station. These are meal options rather than specialties unique to Nakano; check current menus and ingredients.
Try Nakano station → Shikinomori Park → the surrounding neighborhood, adding a meal if preferred. The temple and Tetsugakudo need not be part of the same walk.
