Hi, I’m Tabi!

Discover riverside greenery, a hillside park and a local shrine. Start around Nakameguro; a facility near Meguro station is not necessarily inside Meguro Ward.

This guide covers places within Meguro Ward, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Three places to begin

Three places with different atmospheres. Start with the one that appeals to you instead of visiting them all.

A first-visit stop

Meguro River in Nakameguro

目黒川

Explore the Nakameguro section of a river that crosses several wards. Cherry blossoms are seasonal; this photograph shows leafy trees in summer 2018.

A first-visit stop

Saigoyama Park

西郷山公園

A neighborhood park on a hillside, with trees and views. Choose an approach that suits your mobility because slopes and stairs occur.

Getting there
Check approaches from Nakameguro or Daikanyama

03

A first-visit stop

Otori Shrine

大鳥神社

A shrine in Shimomeguro associated with the Tori-no-Ichi tradition. Check event dates and photography guidance separately.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Sanma, or Pacific saury, is associated with Meguro’s Sanma Festival. It is event food, not an everyday riverside offering. The 2026 notice limits servings to successful advance applicants and says applications have closed; check official updates.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try Nakameguro station → the Meguro riverside. Add Saigoyama only after checking the slopes, or visit Otori Shrine separately.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Respect residents and pedestrians along the river.
  • Check slopes and stairs in the park.
  • Distinguish festival serving conditions from everyday sales.
