Hossawa Falls
払沢の滝
A streamside wooded path leads to this waterfall. The view from below shows part of a multi-tier cascade. Check rain, ice, slippery footing and restrictions; avoid scrambling onto edges or entering the water.
Getting there Follow the path from Hossawa-no-taki-iriguchi bus stop; check your return bus first.
A Tokyo natural monument where a stream passes between steep rock walls. The gorge route uses ladders, chains and narrow footing, rather than a level path. Skip the gorge when conditions or your ability do not suit it.
Getting there A separate walking approach is needed from Kanotoiwa-iriguchi bus stop.
Potatoes are a village specialty, including the long-grown Oine variety. Look for seasonal produce at farm shops after checking availability. Fields are not unrestricted visitor areas.
Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access. Choose your departure point on the map.
