Hi, I’m Tabi!

Hinode is a hillside town in Tokyo. Its historic retreat and hot spring are separate stops: choose one and check transport and closure dates first.

This guide covers places within Hinode, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Hinode Sanso

日の出山荘

This former retreat hosted the Nakasone–Reagan meeting in1983 and is now a memorial museum. Check public areas, closure dates and entry conditions before exploring the buildings and garden.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Tsurutsuru Onsen

つるつる温泉

A day-use hot spring in the hills offers bathing and a place to pause. Check your return bus first. The operator lists20October2026 as a closure day, so do not plan a visit on that date.

Getting there
Check the bus to Tsurutsuru Onsen from JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

The tourism association introduces Beni Haruka sweet potatoes grown in Hinode. Check seasonal sales or activity arrangements when looking for local produce or roasted sweet potatoes. Farm access and year-round availability are not promised.
