Shofukuji Jizo Hall
正福寺地蔵堂
A National Treasure in Zen architectural style, with evidence indicating construction in 1407. The photograph shows its exterior in 2008. Interior access is limited; check visiting days. This is distinct from the same-named temple in Sumida.
Getting there Approach from the west side of Seibu Higashimurayama station
A park of greenery and water against the Sayama Hills. The photograph shows irises in June 2009, a seasonal early-summer view. Check current flowers and path information.
Getting there Check the park approach in Noguchicho
A park preserving an archaeological site spanning the Jomon to Nara and Heian periods. Remains are preserved beneath the ground rather than as standing old buildings. Read signs for local history.
Getting there Check the approach from Seibuen station toward Tamakocho
Tokyo’s regional guide features Musashino udon as a local noodle option. Broth and ingredients vary by shop; check current menus and allergen information.
Try the west side of Higashimurayama station → Shofukuji’s exterior visitor area. Check interior access and optionally add a route to Kitayama Park. Save the archaeological park for a separate outing.
