Hi, I’m Tabi!

Explore the Shozui castle site and Ai no Yakata’s indigo history. Check current open areas at the archaeological site and museum visiting or workshop information separately.

This guide covers places within Aizumi, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

Earthwork remains at Shozui Castle in 201001

A first-visit stop

Shozui castle and residence site

勝瑞城館跡

Explore the history of a castle and residence at this site. The 2010 photographs show moat and earthwork remains rather than a reconstructed tower. Check excavation work and current open areas, and stay on permitted paths.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Ai no Yakata museum

藍の館

This facility introduces the history of Awa indigo. A decorative panel is used because no museum photograph met subject, reuse-rights and resolution requirements together. Check official opening, fees and workshop reservations.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Look for carrots and miso presented as town specialities. Check current sellers, season, stock and ingredients; do not assume that a sightseeing facility serves meals.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
