Hi, I’m Tabi!

This is Katsuura Town in Tokushima, distinct from Katsuura City in Chiba. Choose a hillside pilgrimage temple or a gentle waterside setting for your first outing.

This guide covers places within Katsuura, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

Main hall and forecourt at Kakurin-ji01

A first-visit stop

Kakurin-ji

鶴林寺

Temple 20 on the Shikoku pilgrimage stands in the hills. Visit its main hall while respecting worshippers. Check the hillside approach and slopes first; this is not a level stroll.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Ikuna Roman Road

生名ロマン街道

A cherry-tree-lined path beside Ikuna Tanigawa. Blossoms and festival boat rides depend on the season and event arrangements. Check guidance for your date and stay on public paths.

Getting there

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Look for Katsuura mandarins. The town introduces winter mandarin sales at Yottene Market. Check season and availability, and do not enter orchards without permission.

Before you set off
