Hi, I’m Tabi!
Shiroi in northwestern Chiba offers pear-growing traditions, parks and an old temple. Start around the culture center and park from Shiroi station, planning separate transport for Hiratsuka.
This guide covers places within Shiroi, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Enmei-ji and its Kannon Hall
延命寺観音堂
The temple in Hiratsuka has a Kannon hall designated as a Chiba cultural property. The 2023 photograph shows the front gate, rather than that hall. Respect worshippers and visit public areas.
Getting there Check separate transport to the temple in Hiratsuka
A complex combining a library, cultural hall, planetarium and local-history museum. Add a cultural stop to your park outing, checking each facility’s opening days and programs.
City sources feature Shiroi pears including Kosui, Hosui, Akizuki and Niitaka, shipped in sequence from summer into autumn. Check current varieties and storage advice at farm shops, without entering orchards uninvited.
Try Shiroi station → the culture center area → marked park paths. Check indoor access individually and pause among lawns and trees. Save the temple and pear farms for separate outings.
