Hi, I’m Tabi!

Chiba City is one city within Chiba Prefecture. Choose the park near Chiba station, the waterfront or the local-history museum first, with separate transport for different areas.

This guide covers places within Chiba, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Three places to begin

Three places with different atmospheres. Start with the one that appeals to you instead of visiting them all.

03

A first-visit stop

Chiba City Folk Museum

千葉市立郷土博物館

A museum in the Inohana area introducing Chiba’s history. Its castle-shaped building is not a surviving historic keep. Check exhibitions and closures for your visit date.

Getting there
Check approaches from Hon-Chiba or Kencho-mae station

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Peanuts are grown in Chiba City, with freshly harvested boiled peanuts associated with autumn. Check city-origin labels, season and availability at farm shops, and be mindful of peanut allergies.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try JR Chiba station → Chiba Park for a quiet first outing by the pond. Check separate stations and connections for the harbor and museum.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Distinguish Chiba City from the wider prefecture.
  • Lotus, foliage and fresh peanut sales are seasonal.
  • Check park works and tower/museum operations.
