Hi, I’m Tabi!
Narita offers an old temple and approach streets as well as its airport. Start with the station-to-Naritasan area and plan Sakura-no-Yama as a separate trip.
This guide covers places within Narita, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Naritasan Park
成田山公園
Behind Shinshoji Temple, this park offers trees, ponds and seasonal scenery. Choose one section after visiting the temple. The photo shows trees and city views from the park in 2014; check slopes and steps.
Getting there Check park entrances within the Naritasan Shinshoji grounds
A three-story pagoda in Shinshoji’s grounds with colorful decoration and carving. Enjoy its exterior while respecting worshippers; do not assume interior access.
Getting there Follow signs and visitor routes in Shinshoji’s grounds
A park near the airport’s northern side for watching aircraft. Cherry blossoms are seasonal and aircraft movements depend on wind and operations. It is separate from Naritasan and is not directly attached to an airport terminal.
Getting there Check buses and return services from the station or airport area

Unagi dishes are associated with Narita’s temple approach. Unaju, grilled eel over rice in a box, is one example. The 2020 dish photo at Kawatoyo Honten is not an endorsement or a guarantee of current menus or prices; check ingredients and ordering details.
Try Narita station → Naritasan Shinshoji → the park entrance, taking breaks along the approach. Choose a manageable park section and keep airport sightseeing separate.
