Hi, I’m Tabi!
Kanuma in Tochigi offers historic merchant architecture and carved festival-float culture. Begin with a map at the central visitor stop, choosing a garden or street view first.
This guide covers places within Kanuma, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

A first-visit stop
Fukuda Residence Exterior
福田家住宅
A historic merchant building combining a shop and residence. Look for lattice windows and eaves from the street. The 2020 exterior photograph does not imply interior access or current business operation.
Getting there View the exterior from public pedestrian space in Kamizaimokucho
A place to discover carved festival floats and Kikusui-en garden. Check exhibition and garden access. A float display is separate from a live festival procession.
Getting there Locate the park entrance in the Ginza area
A starting point for local maps, a rest and regional products. Choose a walking area using visitor information, checking current food-service days separately.
Getting there Locate the visitor facility in Nakamachi
The official visitor map lists nira soba, soba served with garlic chives. Consider it after a walk, checking menus and ingredients; a shop’s inclusion in the 2023 map does not guarantee current operation.
Try Shin Kanumajuku → nearby public streets, using a map to choose the Fukuda exterior or Central Park. Check separate event dates for float processions.
