Hi, I’m Tabi!
Shizuoka brings together castle history, a pine-lined coast and a hillside shrine. Start around the station and Sunpu Castle Park; plan the coastal and hill visits separately.
This guide covers places within Shizuoka, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

A castle-site park linked with Tokugawa Ieyasu. Pause by the moat and reconstructed gates and turrets; the pictured Tatsumi turret is a reconstruction.
Getting there Check the park approach from Shizuoka station
An ornate shrine dedicated to Ieyasu. Even the Nihondaira ropeway approach involves steps; check access conditions and respect worship and photography rules.
Getting there Check transport to Nihondaira and ropeway guidance

Shizuoka oden simmers skewered ingredients in dark broth; black hanpen is a local fish-cake ingredient. Check broth, toppings and allergens with the shop.
Try Shizuoka station → Sunpu Castle Park, pausing by the moat and reconstructed buildings. Save Miho or Kunozan for a separate outing with return transport arranged.
