Hi, I’m Tabi!

Explore Hamada Castle’s stonework and the Hamada side of Iwami Seaside Park. The park also spans Gotsu, so this guide uses the reservation center area in Kokubu-cho, Hamada as its reference point. A coastal walk is separate from swimming.

This guide covers places within Hamada, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Hamada Castle Site

浜田城跡

The image shows steps and stonework in the third bailey, not a surviving keep. Explore the wooded remains with care on steps, wet ground and near edges.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Hamada Side of Iwami Seaside Park

石見海浜公園の浜田側

Use the reservation center address to check access to the Hamada side. This is separate from the stonework pictured above. Swimming areas have their own operating season and safety arrangements; walking access does not establish permission to swim.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Hamada’s tourism association highlights nodoguro, or blackthroat seaperch. Fish size, preparation and price vary by seller; check current supply and fish or seasoning allergens.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
