Hi, I’m Tabi!

Sakado City in Saitama offers temple architecture, history in a former school and seasonal riverside scenery. Start at Seitenkyu, planning other attractions separately.

This guide covers places within Sakado, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Three places to begin

Three places with different atmospheres. Start with the one that appeals to you instead of visiting them all.

A first-visit stop

Seitenkyu Temple

五千頭の龍が昇る聖天宮

Discover Taiwanese-style temple architecture with dragon decorations and colorful roofs. The exterior photograph dates from 2019. Respect worship and photography rules and check current entry arrangements.

Getting there
Check onward transport from Wakaba station on the Tobu Tojo Line

02

A first-visit stop

Sakado History and Folklore Museum

坂戸市歴史民俗資料館

Explore local history in a relocated former school building. Check exhibitions and opening days and notice the wooden architecture; this is a museum rather than a working school.

Getting there
Check buses toward Suguro Shogakko Iriguchi from Wakaba station

03

A first-visit stop

Kitaasaba Sakura Tsutsumi Park

北浅羽桜堤公園

A riverside park with cherry trees along the Oppe River. Angyo-kanzakura blossoms are an early-spring attraction rather than an autumn display. Check weather and local riverside signs.

Getting there
Plan separate transport to the riverside park in Kitaasaba

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

The city’s certified-products guide features honey produced in Sakado. Consider it as a small gift while checking origin, ingredients and packaging; availability varies.
