Hi, I’m Tabi!

North of Osaka, Suita offers broad parkland and historic homes. Begin in one Expo Park garden; the Nishio residence needs separate travel and advance booking.

This guide covers places within Suita, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Three places to begin

Three places with different atmospheres. Start with the one that appeals to you instead of visiting them all.

A first-visit stop

Former Nishio Residence

旧西尾家住宅

A historic residence associated with traditional architecture and tea culture. General visits currently require advance reservation; plan the separate old-town journey first.

Getting there
Check the route to the residence in Uchihonmachi from JR Suita station

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Suita kuwai is a locally preserved traditional edible tuber, used in New Year dishes and rice preparations. Check seasonal availability; ordinary kuwai should not automatically be presented as this local variety.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try Bampaku-kinen-koen station → the Natural and Cultural Gardens entrance → one walking area. Check admission before adding the Japanese Garden; save the residence for another outing.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check current entry rules, opening information and return transport.
  • Choose an outing suited to steps, slopes and weather.
  • Respect worship spaces and photography rules; check food ingredients at the shop.
