Hi, I’m Tabi!

Meet the fukugi-lined village and eastern beach. Respect everyday life and check your return ferry.

This guide covers places within Tonaki, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Fukugi-lined village lanes

ふくぎ並木

Fukugi trees have served as wind and coastal shelter around homes. This photograph shows a village alley in May 2021. People still live here: keep to public lanes and avoid photographing private property or home interiors.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Agarihama Beach

あがり浜

A beach on Tonaki Island’s eastern side. This is a decorative panel, not a beach photograph. Shallow-looking water does not establish safe swimming; check local guidance, tides and wind and avoid unsafe entry.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Tonaki’s specialty grain, mochi-kibi millet, can be mixed with rice. Village guidance describes limited sales opportunities. Ask about availability before visiting and check ingredient and allergen labels on processed products.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
