Hi, I’m Tabi!

Naha offers royal history in Shuri, a villa garden and a seaside shrine. Shuri, Shikina and Wakasa are separate areas; begin with one and check current restoration access.

This guide covers places within Naha, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Three places to begin

Three places with different atmospheres. Start with the one that appeals to you instead of visiting them all.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

A fuchiba soba dish example in Naha
Photographed at Kame Kame Soba in Naha in 2005; not a shop endorsement or a guarantee of current menus or prices.

Despite its name, Okinawa soba traditionally uses wheat rather than buckwheat noodles. Pork and bonito broth styles and toppings vary; the Naha photograph shows a mugwort-topped fuchiba soba example.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Start around Shureimon and follow the park’s currently designated visitor route. Check slopes, steps and access areas; plan Shikina-en or Naminoue separately using suitable transport.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check current entry rules, opening information and return transport.
  • Choose an outing suited to steps, slopes and weather.
  • Respect worship spaces and photography rules; check food ingredients at the shop.
