Hi, I’m Tabi!

Explore a cape and a beach in Miyakojima. A photograph of clear water does not establish today’s safety. Check wind, waves and return transport first.

This guide covers places within Miyakojima, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

Higashi-Hennazaki cape and sea in 200401

A first-visit stop

Higashi-Hennazaki

東平安名崎

Follow designated paths on this sea-facing cape. The photograph is from 2004. Keep away from cliff edges and rough surf; do not press on in strong winds. Check separate operating information for lighthouse admission.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

Yonaha Maehama’s sandy shore in 201602

A first-visit stop

Yonaha Maehama Beach

与那覇前浜ビーチ

Pause beside the white-sand shore. The 2016 photograph may differ from current coastal conditions. Check lifeguard provision, jellyfish nets and on-site notices; water colour alone is no basis for deciding to swim.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Consider Miyako soba, introduced by the tourism association. Broth, toppings and opening days vary between shops. Do not infer the noodles’ ingredients or allergy suitability from the word “soba”; ask about ingredients.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
