Hi, I’m Tabi!
Kurashiki brings together white-walled storehouses and art by the river. Begin in the Bikan quarter; Korakuen and Okayama Castle belong to neighboring Okayama City.
This guide covers places within Kurashiki, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Kurashiki Bikan Historic Quarter
倉敷美観地区
White-walled storehouses and willows line the Kurashiki River. Explore streets and waterside scenery at your own pace, checking individual shop and indoor opening information.
Getting there Approach the quarter from JR Kurashiki station
Founded in 1930, the museum presents Western and Japanese art. Choose exhibitions after checking current access; a branch-building closure means not every building is open.
Getting there Check the museum entrance within the quarter
The former Ohara family residence introduces its architecture and the family’s history and ideas. Across the river from the museum, it has separate entry and closure arrangements.
Getting there Check the entrance in Kurashiki’s Chuo 1-chome
Murasuzume is a Kurashiki sweet with chunky red-bean filling wrapped in a thin egg-based crepe. Check product ingredients, storage and availability when choosing a snack or gift.
Try the quarter’s riverside → the museum area → Ohara House across the river. Choose one indoor visit according to interest and opening arrangements, leaving room for other pedestrians.
