Hi, I’m Tabi!

Ikoma is a city in Nara. Explore mountain religious traditions at Hozanji and recreation at Ikoma Sanjo Amusement Park. The wider mountain area extends into Osaka, while both facilities in this guide are in Ikoma City. Check access and current operations separately.

This guide covers places within Ikoma, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

A first-visit stop

Ikoma Sanjo Amusement Park

生駒山上遊園地

A mountaintop amusement park, with its flying-tower ride photographed in 2014. Check the operator’s current ride status, opening days, conditions and weather guidance. An old photograph does not establish that the ride is operating today.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

The city features the Ikoma-gori shaved-ice project around Mount Ikoma. Participating areas can cross city boundaries, so check shop addresses, serving periods and ingredients. Summer guidance does not establish that every menu is available in autumn or winter.
