Dark boulders form a striking band on Mount Kōno’s slope. Their lava-like appearance is not a present-day lava flow. Do not treat this as a swimming spot; view it from designated paths and watch for wet rocks and uneven footing.

Observe sheep at this farm. Opening and grazing hours can differ, and closure days apply, so check current guidance. Use only feed approved on site and follow fences and staff instructions.

Yamato tea is grown in Nara’s tea-producing areas, including Yamazoe. Check the origin and tea variety when choosing a souvenir. Visits or activities at farms and tea fields may require separate permission or reservations.
