Hi, I’m Tabi!

Visit a temple in Izuhara and a viewpoint in Toyotama. These are separate stops, rather than a short walking circuit; plan transport across the island first.

This guide covers places within Tsushima, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Banshoin Temple

万松院

A temple in Izuhara associated with the So lords of Tsushima and their burial grounds. The August 2017 photograph shows the entrance gate, not the entire cemetery. Take care on the stone steps, especially when wet, and check current admission, hours and photography rules.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Eboshidake Observatory

烏帽子岳展望所

A viewpoint in Nii, Toyotama, overlooking Aso Bay’s indented coastline. Steps lead up from parking near the summit, so the approach is not entirely level. Check current road restrictions and weather, and return in daylight. Its panel is decorative because a qualifying site photograph was not verified.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

The tourism association describes Taishu soba served with chicken and log-grown shiitake broth. Check buckwheat allergy risks, wheat blends, soy, fish and meat ingredients. Do not assume the dish is vegetarian.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check directions

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
