Hi, I’m Tabi!
This Asahi Village lies southwest of the Matsumoto plain in Nagano. Confirm the prefecture to distinguish places sharing its name. Begin with the art and history museums or a park, arranging transport first.
This guide covers places within Asahi Village, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

A first-visit stop
Asahi Art and History Museums
朝日美術館・朝日村歴史民俗資料館
A cultural stop for art and village history. The photo shows the exterior in 2011, not current exhibition works. Check current exhibitions and entry arrangements before an indoor visit.
Getting there Check transport to the facility at Furumi 1308
A park at the foot of the castle site with water and seasonal plants. Use of the Wagoan teahouse requires booking. Its published operating period refers to 2025; ask about current availability.
Getting there Check the park approach in Nishiseba
A temple whose Kannon hall and surrounding spring katakuri flowers appear in the village’s cultural-property list. Flowers are seasonal; do not assume they bloom now. Follow worship and visitor-area guidance.
Getting there Check the temple location and visiting guidance in Furumi
Official village materials feature highland vegetables such as lettuce, cabbage and Chinese cabbage. Check origins on seasonal produce and dishes. Farms are working spaces; do not enter without permission.
Visit the art and history museums, then try a short return walk on nearby public paths. Plan the park or temple separately. Check vehicle or taxi connections from JR Shiojiri station and your return transport.
