Hi, I’m Tabi!

Explore the setting of Kiriake Onsen in Akiyamago and Nakajo Onsen farther north in the village. These are separate locations, not a short walking circuit; check roads and return transport.

This guide covers places within Sakae, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Kiriake Onsen

切明温泉

At the far end of Akiyamago, hot springs emerge beside the river. This November 2004 riverbank photograph does not establish current bathing access. Follow local advice on access, water levels and temperature; do not enter the river or move rocks without permission.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Nakajo Onsen · Tomato-no-kuni

中条温泉 トマトの国

This village lodging and hot-spring facility also advertises day bathing. Private bookings or maintenance can affect access, so confirm operation and last entry. Its restaurant has no fixed opening days; telephone in advance if you would like lunch.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Anbo are Sakae’s rice-flour dumplings. Nagano Prefecture’s food guide gives examples filled with radish greens or sweet bean paste. Its older sales information is not a current stock guarantee; confirm sellers, ingredients and availability.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check directions

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
