Hi, I’m Tabi!
Discover a wooded pond and a waterfall of fine streams in this highland town. Plan transport between the two separately, with time to explore Karuizawa’s jam shops after a walk.
This guide covers places within Karuizawa, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Kumoba Pond
雲場池
A small pond reflecting its surrounding woodland, with an approximately one-kilometre walking path. The photograph dates to early summer 2005 and does not show current autumn colours. Check parking arrangements and open paths, and pass nearby homes and villas quietly.

Fine streams spill from a rock wall at this Karuizawa waterfall. The photo dates to 2007; this is distinct from the similarly named falls near Mount Fuji. It is not a short continuation of the Kumoba Pond walk, so check road or bus transport and the local approach separately.

Jam shops in old Karuizawa offer a taste of the resort town’s food culture. Check fruit varieties, origins and ingredients such as sugar. Products and opening days differ by shop; follow labelled refrigeration and storage instructions after opening.
