Hi, I’m Tabi!

A town of lakes, woodland and apple orchards. Start with mountain views across Lake Reisenji, then explore a seasonal wetland walk and locally grown apples.

This guide covers places within Iizuna, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

Lake Reisenji and Mount Iizuna in summer 201301

A first-visit stop

Lake Reisenji

霊仙寺湖

A reservoir at the foot of the mountains, suited to a scenic break. The photo shows the lake and Mount Iizuna in summer 2013. Boating and fishing have different conditions from a lakeside walk; check their current operation separately.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Mure Mizubasho Garden

むれ水芭蕉園

Explore the plants of a wetland woodland. Mizubasho flowers are a spring attraction, rather than something to expect in autumn. Protect vegetation by keeping to designated paths, and check opening conditions and wet boardwalk surfaces before visiting.

Getting there

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Iizuna grows many apple varieties. Dessert apples and tart varieties suited to cooking or processing have different uses. Ask a farm shop about varieties, harvest timing and storage, and check bookings separately for orchard activities.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
