Yasui Sokken’s former home
安井息軒旧宅
This thatched house is associated with the Confucian scholar Yasui Sokken. Its present layout and roof reflect conservation and restoration; roof and seismic work also followed the photograph. Check visitor hours and indoor guidance, and remove shoes before entering.
Getting there Check the current approach and return transport on the map.
Across the road from the house, the museum introduces Sokken and the history of old Kiyotake. Exhibitions and classes follow different schedules; check opening and events for your day. Follow staff instructions for photographing materials and cross the road safely.

Official regional guidance describes dried-daikon production shared by Tano and Kiyotake. This is not a claim of exclusive Kiyotake origin or a dish served everywhere year-round. Check provenance, seasoning and storage for dried vegetables and pickles; do not enter farms or drying structures without permission.
