Hi, I’m Tabi!

This is Kawasaki Town in Miyagi, distinct from Kawasaki City in Kanagawa. Explore a national park and the Aone Onsen area. Plan transport to each separately; the garden and street photographs date from 2018 and 2015.

This guide covers places within Kawasaki, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Michinoku Lakewood National Government Park

国営みちのく杜の湖畔公園

The 2018 photograph shows Irodori Plaza in the South Area. Admission and facility conditions vary by area; check current South Area fees and opening days. Flowers may differ from the photograph. Follow weather and wildlife restrictions.

Street in the Aone Onsen area in 201502

A first-visit stop

Aone Onsen area

青根温泉郷

This 2015 photograph shows a street in the hot-spring area, not a bath interior. Japponoyu public bath and accommodation facilities have separate conditions. Use public pedestrian routes and check each facility’s opening, charges and photography rules before bathing.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Kawasaki introduces noodles made with local buckwheat. Official guidance describes kanzarashi soba, prepared using winter water and wind, as a limited spring offering; do not assume it is served in autumn. Check buckwheat, wheat, current menus and dried-noodle storage.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
