Hi, I’m Tabi!

This guide covers places within Shiroishi, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Shiroishi Castle

白石城

The present wooden tower and gates were reconstructed in 1995. Distinguish the historic castle site from its reconstructed buildings. Check admission, stairs and last-entry times before going inside; winter hours may be shorter.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02

A first-visit stop

Former Koseki samurai residence

武家屋敷(旧小関家)

Explore a former household beside the Sawabata River. The Koseki residence stands in a residential neighbourhood, so keep noise down. Check the public house’s admission and opening times, and respect neighbouring private property.

Getting there
Check the current approach and return transport on the map.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Shiroishi ūmen is a local short noodle made without oil in the noodle-making process. Broth and toppings vary by shop. Check wheat and other ingredients, hot or cold options, and current availability.
