Hi, I’m Tabi!

Explore a park and a station forecourt in Rifu, Miyagi. The opening photograph shows Kasenuma Park in 2009; it does not establish current playground conditions or the season.

This guide covers places within Rifu, rather than places immediately beside your app check-in.

01 · EXPLORE

Two places to begin

Two different places: start with whichever interests you.

A first-visit stop

Moririn Kasenuma Park

モリリン加瀬沼公園

This park has lawns and picnic areas. The wider Kasenuma area spans several municipalities; this stop is the park in Kase, Rifu. Use designated paths and follow current notices for the water edge and playground.

A first-visit stop

Rifu Station forecourt

利府駅前

The 2023 photograph shows the station building, which adjoins a community centre. Look around the public forecourt. Distinguish Rifu from Shin-Rifu Station, and check platform access, current trains and information-desk availability separately.

02 · A LITTLE BITE

What could you try?

Rifu is known for pears, and its tourism association also introduces pear sauces and curry. Fresh fruit depends on harvest time and variety, so ask what is available. Check ingredients and storage instructions for processed products.

03 · YOUR FIRST WALK

Keep your first walk simple

Try the first destination’s permitted entrance → public areas. Choose the other stop after checking separate transport and access.

Check the walking route

Check actual distances and travel times on the map. This suggested walk is separate from your app movement record.

Before you set off

  • Check entry arrangements and return transport first.
  • Choose one stop to suit weather, slopes and local restrictions.
  • Respect private areas and photography rules; check food ingredients locally.
